Default Stepehn Cope's book on the Sutras

I Just read Stephen Cope's amazing book: The wisdom of yoga...a seeker's guide to extraordinary living"

Just wondered if anyone has read it. It's a great and easily digestible romp thru Patanjali's Sutras that reads more like a novel than an academic or philosophical book.
Let me know if you enjoyed it.
T/boy

I totally agree t/boy this is a great read . In the past I've found the yoga sutras and yoga philosophy to be a bit hard to understand. This book does it differently, talking about the use of sutras and yogic philosophy in real day to day life. I liked that it follows actual yogis on their quest for greater understanding, it's brilliant, I couldn't put it down ! Yeh I agree with you totally. More like a mix between a novel and a serious interprative work on the sutras which is so well written and easy to understand. I'd really recommend it for anyone out there who wants to learn more about the sutras in a way that is easy to relate to.

Me too!!! I would love to someday take a class in person from Stephen Cope. If his books are anything to go by I can only imagine how well he could impart information in person. I've always found the sutras a bit hard to get my head around and when I read this book a while ago it was the first time they've made sense to me. Like you I found his discussion of complicated yogic philosophies is easy to read and absorb the first time through. If you're looking to learn more about the sutras I'd say start here with this book it really helped me understand a bit more.
