Exclamation US elections

I'm really interested in what's going on in the US (my old country), getting Dubbya out of there and getting the country back on track.

It's been ages that I've been inspired by a politician, but man, Obama just does it for me. He's been likened to Martin Luther King and JFK and I couldn't agree more. Finally we have an peace maker as a front runner, and a would be president who can actually string a sentence together (refreshing eh?). The thought of McCain or another Clinton term just freaks me out! We need new fresh blood in there to shake things up.

I hate to admit it, but I'm embarrassed to be an American in the 22nd century (I wear my 'not my president' tee with pride ). But you know what I'd gladly put it away if Obama wins.

Cool post . I'm interested in the US elections just because like you I'm keen to see the Bush vamos (as you say anything will be an improvement from the cutesy infantile statements that he seems to make every time he opens his mouth - did you hear the latest 'Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we'.) A leader to be proud of...

I'm not a fan of Hilary either, enough Bush's and Clinton's - enough! I am worried that the rivalry between Obama and Clinton will split the party though, and then neither will win. She's pushing him pretty hard about his talk about small town american's clinging to guns and religion. I hope they don't screw it up.

If I was American I'd vote for Hilary, I know everyone seems to go starry eyed over Obama, but who really knows anything about him? And as for his Pastor who's been a major influence in his life, well if he's on his side then I wouldn't want him to be his enemy! Talk about being controversial for headlines sake and loving his 15 minutes of fame.

No, for me Hilary is the one, she's a scrapper and a fighter she just won't give up and I like that about her. Looking forward to hearing what happens in the next primary (I think it's tomorrow?) But I'm worried that this in-fighting will go on too long and give McCain a real advantage. The democrats have to win this next presidency in my view the peace of the world relies upon it.

Well I don't know, what about Hilary's quote about 'totally obliterating' Iran if they used nuclear weapons against Israel? Is that the talk of a peace maker, I don't think so. Personally I think it's really irresponsible - we've had enough talk like that from Bush, we don't need it from Hilary too.
