Question Pulled back - rest or do yoga?

I was gardening and I've pulled the side of my back just below my ribs. What could it be do you think? I'm pretty sure it's muscular. I'm a bit annoyed with myself as it probably means that I'll skip my yoga this week. My question is that if you pull a muscle like I've clearly done should you go and stretch it out or rest it. Any advice for this mumma??

rest up & ice it until its comfortable enough for you to move about, get some massages, every other day. then gentle stretches into it like half moon when you do. like you say, it means you may have to skip your classes for the week, but its only a week

I'm nearly a year through a 2 and a bit year teacher training course, so I am teaching a little bit. I'm easing myself gently into it by teaching 1-1's at the moment.

My personal practice is centred on opening my heart (and my hips!), so is very loving & caring. There's a fair bit of Bhakti involved, you know like Japa mala (mantra repetition), Kirtan (call & response singing) & Seva (selfless service).

I'm glad you find my words resonate with you, you know where to reach me if you have any questions at all
