I find this pose cuts into my lower back when I swing my foot up in the air, am I doing something wrong here? It's a pretty intense back arch for me so maybe my back just isn't that flexible yet? My teacher does it mostly at the beginning of our class so we're not really warmed up thoroughly maybe that's it? Any advice?
I'm no expert either Helen but I'd say maybe don't swing your leg so far up behind you? Is that too simple an explanation? - ha sorry sometimes simple is best - tee hee .
I love this pose, although I find it hard to get my leg to my head (hips need to be a little looser I think). Yes don't arch the back so much - if it hurts then you're doing it with too much force !!
