Hi Lizzie - In my opinion you should never do any pranayama for weightloss. Pranayama is about breath awareness and through subtle breathing practises you can effect your psyche quite profoundly. Both bhastrika and Kapalabati should be practised at first with an experienced teacher - they both stimulate the digestive fire (and yes they make you feel hungry as a by product after the practise).
