Angry a little weird

I'm all for high energy in classes, but just gettin' a rain check from you guys about this one. Last night in my class the teacher would not stop talking, she went on and on it was driving us all insane - all the way through the sequence and even in savasana! When the class finished I felt really agitated and my energy was all over the place. To top it off at the end she asked us to high-five the people next to us - now really is that necessary? I don't think so!

haha, well it is Christmas! they're probably building up to mistletoe.

here in the uk, the classes often get too packed -- on the supine arms-out-to-sides poses teacher tells us not to worry about touching our neighbour ..."come on, touch them, don't be SO British" she shouts. (yeah, here we get insulted by our own.)

That's funny about the touching thin...here in Australia we say, don't worry touching your neighbour it's only a hand or an arm and we all have them don't we! High fiving during class - yes that is pretty wierd (even for Bikram - tee hee )

No way that is way outta line - high fives in yoga? That's just wrong. Did everyone do it? I think I'd walk out.

I think the fact that high-fiving eachother after class make some peope uncomfortable, means that we should all do it more

I always heard when faced with two paths, choose the more difficult one.

being true to yourself is always an option. often the most difficult.

Sorry I don't follow...in Sally's case that would mean doing high-fives which would clearly make her feel uncomfortable - that's not being true to herself.

that was my point Nyan: why 'should' Sally (or anybody) feel peer-pressured into clichéd gestures that do not come from her true Self? after all, isn't yoga supposed to be about rediscovering our respective natures, and not bowing to every crass societal whim? does Namaste translate as "the god within me must high-five the god within you"?

lighten up Purple?!? LIGHTEN UP?!?!?!!! isn't this the way Communist China started?!
