Yes. I've been to two schools there: Ashtanga Yoga Space (Ashtanga Yoga Space) and the yogamat (Yogamat: home).
Both have excellent teachers but I preferred the layout and feel of the room at the yoga space (yogamat is a very long room and practitioners face each other, and it has carpet where yoga space has a wooden floor which I also prefer). Both have the annoying (in my opinion) quiet chanting playing in the background . I also found the yoga space music to be less annoying! Having said all this, I'm friends with some of the people at yogamat so I don't know why I'm plugging the other place so much! Too much satya! All in all there's not really much to choose between them. If I were you I'd just go to whichever one is easiest for you to get to! |

I sometimes go to yogamat and I really like the studio and the teachers. I've had classes with both Catherine and Nikki, they are both excellent teachers.
Wondering if anyone is going to Dena and Jack's workshop there 23-28th September? |

I do not go to Ashtanga classes regularly so I can't give a deep view, but I have been to a class with Angelika Knorzer at North Sydney Yoga.
ashtanga. I found that her anatomical knowledge was amazing and she knew very well what she was talking about and I truly loved the space - huge window, no carpet but nice wooden floor, high ceiling. ![]() |

Hi Lizzy,
not sure where you live, but for the best choice of classes try Yoga Australia - Yoga Schools and Classes For reputable teachers make sure they are a member of one of the big teacher associations (YTAA or similar) and make sure you feel safe in the their class. If you are on the North, Viparita is right about Angelika in N. Sydney. On the N Beaches try Sam Woods or Deb grant at Qi Nat Therapies & Yoga, who are amazingly experienced and popular teachers. (I must declare I'm biased as I work with them...sorry moderator!) In town, Fiona Parker at Ashtanga Yoga Space in Paddo is immaculately trained and a wonderful teacher. Good luck |
