hey diddle - that image won't link for me either for some reason.

what bikram beginers - well, what all Bikram yogis do- is just get into the pose as deep as you can before it's time to move on. and you'll be ready to move on by the time it's time to move on.

so, like, say on number 5. some people just grab their knee the whole time.

some people are able to kick their foot out, but they keep their elbows extended.

some people are able to do it like in the picture.

some people are able to go ahead and touch their forehead to their knees (like me )

some people are able to touch their forehead to their knees, then let go of their foot and their leg just magically stays up in the air!

those people are nuts!

bendy lady, I always thought of that as relating to momentum. when you're at rest, it takes a lot to get going. but then once you get going, it's easy to keep going.

I also think it's weird how I can't get going on my own at home, but once I get to the studio and everyone is there to do yoga, it's no problem getting started!

maybe more people = more stregnth to overcome the inertia

I just try to focus on the pose at hand and stay in the moment. like, when I'm in standing bow, if I think about having to do triangle in a few minutes, I'll freak out.

but if I just maintain control of my breath and don't think about triangle until it is time to be in triangle, then I'm fine.
